Elmers Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive
For ultimate tattoo realism, the FTS stencil system has a few tricks up our fx tattooed sleeves. Elmer’s spray adhesive is one of those little tricks of our trade that we will happily share.
When using a Faux Tattoo Stencil, usually one will need to have the stencil held for full skin contact while airbrush through it. Usually, holding it with one hand while airbrushing doesn’t do the job well enough because of over spray, causing the work to need more touching up.
We recommend the use of a gentle, non-toxic, repositionable spray adhesive (Such as THIS ONE) that loses tack after a few minutes. This way the adhesive doesn’t stick to your stencils or your client’s skin when removing the stencil. (Very important). The trick is to use a VERY small amount, ONE QUICK SPRAY ON THE STENCIL is all you need. Never spray directly on a person’s skin. Also, don’t use it on tattoos for the face. After about 4-5 uses, clean the back of your stencil with orange oil adhesive remover and your stencil will be as good as New!
