When combining these stencils, the artist can choose where to place the different elements around the main image. This allows the artist to work with the unique body shape of the person being tattooed. Once the lines are placed, coloring the tattoo is easy. Simply use a temp tat ink palette and body art makeup brushes to fill in shading, and color.
When doing advanced tats like this one, we find it’s a great idea to pre-plan the way the colors are filled in. We do this by researching real tattoos specifically by style, and mimicking the color and effects from there.
